| | | http://www.oldtimermanchester.com/details.asp?carID=157 | Coachwork in unmarked dark blue (non-metallic), trimmed in Magnolia leather piped in blue with oatmeal carpets. Lovely dark blue mohair power hood with a magnolia hood bag piped in blue. 5 speed manual gearbox. 6.3 litre zagato engine fitted by RS Williams in 1992 when owned by Simon Draper (business partner of business of Richard Branson). Chassis No. SCFCV81V7KTR15745, engine No. V580/0051/X 6.3.We have also had written confirmation from Aston Martin that the car had factory installed straight through tail pies and Vantage handling kit during 1989. Aston Martin have also confirmed that the new engine will have cost circa £25,000 - a great deal of money bat the time!
Unmarked alloy wheels, PAS, electric windows & mirrors. Tilt wheel, central locking with alarm, immobiliser and tracker. Original Alpine radio/cassette with remote control. A deep front spoiler was fitted as extra.
This fabulous car drives amazingly as you would expect, holding correct oil pressure and correct temperature. It has covered just 32,000 miles & has new calipers, discs and a replacement differential.
Approx. £80,000 spent (bills in history file).
These cars continue to be both collectable and desirable consisently rising in value. This example is particularly rare as examples with 5 speed manual gearboxes are difficult to find. In addition the 6.3 litre engine adds to the rarity and makes an incredible difference to the performance of an already fabulous car.
I our opinion this is the last of the 'proper' Aston Martins.
