My name is Tom and I specialise in the best quality Porsche's (mainly) from the 1980's. My aim is to provide superior cars and superior customer service that simply can't be found amongst the mass of other specialists. The car!: This car rolled off the Stutgart production line in 1982, un like the majority of sc's this car was not finished in the usual Guards red etc but instead was (and still is!) finished in Arrow blue, I can honestly say that this is my ideal colour for a 911, it shows off the classic yet muscular lines of the body in a fashion un-rivalled by other colour options. The car was bought in 1984 by a lady who resided in Surrey, the car stayed with this particular careful custodian until the early part of 2010. The car shows just 2 former keepers on the v5. The car has covered only 88,000 miles which is documented by the previous mot's and original and fully stamped service book. Body work: Finished in Arrow blue the car just looks gorgeous! The condition is also gorgeous. The car has had no accidents or welding etc which so many 911's have. This car also can boast the fact that it is not rotten in the usual places, I'd say that a great deal of the paint is original though it is so hard to tell as there are no obvious tell tale signs of extensive paint work etc. The car is free from nasty dents and scratches but obviously it does have the odd stone chip here and there. But come on.. The old girl's nearly 30! I have removed all of the boot carpets to inspect the front wings and battery area (usual rusty suspects) and I was taken back by how immaculate this car is, and it's all original. Finding an immaculate car is one thing but finding an immaculate and original car is something quite special, after all.. Any old rusty nail can be 'restored'. The car has all of the original stickers in the shuts etc and the panel gaps are spot on. Would you accept anything less! Interior: Finished in blue/chequered vinyl/ cloth this is what divides opinion. To some it's 'garish to others it's 'retro and fashionable. The 80's are all the rage these days... What ever your opinion, one thing that can't be disputed is the astonishing condition. To look at the interior makes it very hard to believe the age of the car. All of the trim and switch gear is original including the carpets. There is no wear to the seat bolsters, even the original stereo is in place and it even works! And it works well including the electric ariel. All electrics work perfectly. Engine: This flat six 3 litre engine performs so sweetly! It starts first time every time and sounds glorious, the howl of a flat six air cooled engine blasting through the gears is a sound not easily forgotten! The oil pressure is perfect at all times. I have carried out a full service on the car so it is ready to go! The engine doesn't leak a drop of oil nor does in consume any! As well as performing and sounding great, the engine also looks th part and is presented immaculately. Gearbox and clutch: The car features the sturdy old 915 gear box and let me tell you it's just a joy to operate! Each gear selects with zero fuss and no spooky noises can be found or heard. The clutch was replaced just 400 miles ago and it obviously feels.. Well, New!! The gearbox features new oil which I replaced at the time of the full service. Wheels and tyres: The wheels look absolutely superb, contrasting nicely against that refreshing body work. They are absoloutely free from any de-fects not even a scratch. All 4 tyres appear to be new. The under carriage, brakes and suspension: The under carriage is a beautiful sight! No horrible rust or repairs, just original Porsche material! Inside the wheel arches it's much of the same, original blue paint work, no rust and no bodgery! The suspension is in splendid order and feels so tight, a 911 has a strange ability to feel much more modern and refined when compared to other cars of the same age. Un- like most classic cars, you actually feel like you'll get there! The handling really inspires confidence and within a few miles you feel like your with an old friend. The brakes are fabulous, there ar new callipers and discs so it all makes sense really! The paper work: As I have already mentioned, the car retains it's previous mot's as well as a fully stamped original service book. The original wallet is still here, as are the other booklets including the instruction manual for the 30 year old stereo system! I also have 2 sets of spare keys including the main key. As well as the original Porsche paperwork, the car has the space saver wheel, complete tool roll and original tyre inflator. It's like stepping into a time machine, the car is marvellously original and has character in abundance. There is a separate folder which houses many invoices for service work and parts etc. To summarise: To Summarise I can only tell you that this is one of if not the best 911 sc available, finished in the rarest ( and I believe the nicest) colour possible, with low miles, a careful lady owner for 26 years, full history... The list goes on and on. The car ticks all the boxes. There are so many tired old 911's out ther and it's easy to see why many people get their fingers burnt with their first venture into the Porsche Market, finding an un-molested example is becoming increasingly difficult and the evidence is pointing to a steady increase in values which is yet another valid reason to purchase a classic 911, they're an enjoyable investment. So by now you'll be wondering about the price, thinking it's going to be sky-high like a few that have sold recently. Just £11,650 is the price that I'm asking. The in-experienced individuals looking at this advert will be thinking " I've seen 911's for as little as 7 grand! Why would I pay extra" well they're the type who get their fingers burnt, the phrase "you get what you pay for" has never been more justifiable than when talking about classic cars, particularilly Porsche's.
