Manufactured in 1964 and imported in 1965 by the Alfa Romeo Conncessionaires, Thompson and Taylors, this particular car on offer was converted to right hand drive and first registered on the 6th January 1966; the right hand drive conversion is believed to be carried out by Ruddspeed whilst at the Alfa Romeo in London.
The previous owner, a Mr Neville Pearson, acquired the Alfa in 2003 whereupon he began a loving three year sympathetic restoration process within the family's workshop; a photographic record of this process accompanies the car. The coachwork is finished in red and is complimented by a cream leather interior. The soft top hood is in excellent condition, operates well and folds down below the body line. The rear seat back incorporates the hood bag, so whilst the soft top is folded down the hood assembly is neatly hidden.
Accompanying the vehicle is a photographic record of restoration, a CD parts manual, an 'Alfa Romeo 2600 Instruction Book', a 'Technical Characteristics and Principle Inspection Specifications' book and an 'Engine and Transmission Manual'. The car was also recently awarded 'Best Modern Classic' at the Mendip Vintage and Classic Tour.
The view over the long classic bonnet is inspiring so with an MOT test certificate and road tax until the end of September this Alfa Romeo awaits a lucky new owner who may enjoy that view on the road straight away.
