The last proper car that Aston Martin ever made was the simply-named V8. Proper because it was hand-built out of steel and walnut, trimmed in Connolly leather and kept well awat from any of those nasty modern gimmicks like fuel injection.
This afforded the V8 an unassailable level of class the likes of which modern Astons can only dream of. And it still does.
