Aston Martin V8 in rare metallic azure blue with beige leather interior, in excellent health and condition, rear seats, safety belts, pirelli tyres, alloys, stainless stel exhaust system, ex Newport Pagnell demonstrator car previously featured in Classic Car magazine. Discover the love of drinving a proven Aston Martin classic that is guaranteed to turn heads (especially in this much commented upon colour scheme).
This carburetter V8 is the Aston Martin connosieurs' preferred engine over the unreliable fuel injection models of 1972-1973, saving you money on fuel consumption whilst giving great performance results.
The last proper car that Aston Martin ever made was the simply-named V8. Proper because it was hand-built out of steel and walnut, trimmed in Connolly leather and kept well awat from any of those nasty modern gimmicks like fuel injection.
This afforded the V8 an unassailable level of class the likes of which modern Astons can only dream of. And it still does. Get onboard and its like being given membership to your own private gentlemen's club. Fire the carburreted V8 upfront and you can feel the hairs sprouting on your chest with every lazy prod of throttle. Drive it hard and you seem to define the very British notion of point-and-squirt. Truly a sports car for a man's man, with none of those airy-fairy Italian cornering abilities.
Somehow the V8 remained Aston's principal product for over twenty years. More Bond connotations prolonged its anachronistic existence right up to 1990. Last seen driven by Timothy Dalton's Bond in the Living Daylights complete with ski attachments!
Available at £295 per day or on long Weekend Rate of £595 including self drive insurance and no hidden costs. Further details at http://www.nottinghillclassiccarhire.com
