| This fabulous Mercedes is regretably for sale. Great condition all around, particularly the original interior with its perectly pattinated leather. Recent recomissioning has included work on brakes and exhaust, rechroming. An older repaint still looks excellent and mechanically great as you would expect with 75,000 miles from new. DElightful to drive, very refined and surprisingly fast if you make free use of the column gearchange. Fantastic ride. This was the ultimate luxury car of its its day, good for over 100mph. The car comes with service history including years of handwritten notes by the cars first owner who was a Scottish Laird. He eventually gave the car to his butler (so the story goes) and then it was used as a limousine by a firm of architects in London. Perfect garage companion for your 300SL (almost the same engine) and will give you instant car park credability at Goodwood.
