Recently restored & having just completed the London to Edinburgh re-enactment without a hitch.
This car comes to us freshly painted in a deep shade of midnight blue. The paint is to a very high standard with the body having been stripped back to bare metal & the wings sand blasted to remove all traces of previous paint.
The interior is newly upholstered in mushroom coloured buttoned leather again to a very high standard. Beige carpets complete the effect along with a matching beige hood, hood bag, & two part tonneau cover which unzips down the middle for solo operation.
At time of photography the car's original lights were away for re-nickeling, so we mounted the lamps off another ghost purely for photographic purposes.
Major works were undertaken to the engine resulting in a silent sweet running unit putting out large reserves of power in an unruffled manner. The car is set up absolutely correctly, starting easily & running silently from cold.
The coachwork is by Wilkinson of Derby, coachbuilders since 1904. The body, not original to the car takes the form of very sporting London to Edinburgh style coachwork executed to a high standard with very rakish lines. This extends to having scuttle mounted instruments & an external Elliot speedometer. The hood fits perfectly with a pleasing shape as does the tonneau cover & hood bag. The windscreen is adjustable from the upright allowing the car to be operated whilst it is raked back at an angle with the roof down.
Some minor works are being completed after its 1000 mile shakedown run & should be complete in a month or so. The car may currently be viewed by prior appointment near Stroud, but will be coming to our showroom once the remaining works are complete.
