| TVR Grantura MK1 - 1959
TVR Grantura MK I was produced from 1958 to 1960 in about 100 (one hundred) pieces.
All models were built using parts already on the market: dell'Austin Healey brakes, suspension and rear axle of the VW Beetle, different engines, Ford, BMC, Coventry Climax.
This little coupe, based on a tubular chassis produced at home, guaranteeing high stiffness and low weight, thanks to the fiberglass body produced by Grantura Plastic, from which, indeed, the name. This TVR chassis 7/C/139, BMC is equipped with a motor-1588cc MG aluminum head with "cross flow". The car has a good sporting history, having participated in numerous competitions history in Europe and North America, it's fun and easy to drive, it is also rare is welcome in every kind of manifestation of interest in sports history. FIA HTP has a brand new and amazing historical record, which starts from birth up to the car to date, all documented by invoices for thousands of pounds, notes of work performed by the various owners of the time, photographs of the event to which took part in the car, operation and maintenance manual (workshop manual) of the time, two veichle log book, one of an american club and one of a canadian club, old FIA chips etc.etc.
A piece of history on four wheels what can we say? For all the sick car racing is the perfect car, small, ultra-light, handy and powerful ... TVR’s DNA is felt at the edge of this little fireball!
