This is a REAL 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 with the 428 Police Interceptor engine and automatic transmission. These cars were rated at 360 horsepower, but these numbers are believed to be low for insurance purposes. One of 1,140 made in 1968, this rare car is in excellent condition and priced to move. Restored back to it's original color combination of Medium Blue Metallic and a Black Crinkle Vinyl interior. The interior also features a roll bar with inertia-reel harnesses, a center console with two Stewart Warner gauges for oil pressure and amps, a Cobra embossed storage compartment lid, Shelby Cobra emblem on the glove box, Shelby steering wheel, sun visor signed by Carroll Shelby and more! Optioned with all but one option from that year, this is a very unique car! Power disc brakes, power steering, shoulder harness, fold down rear seat, push button AM radio, Select-O-Matic transmission, and tinted glass from the factory! The transmission, rear end, heads, intake, and everything else bolted to the block are original. The block itself has been replaced years back with an NOS 428 block, when the original froze up. It is a correct car, but not the original block. Believed to be 98,814 actual miles and has had a complete restoration. VIN is 8T02S149574 and the trim tag reads: Body - 63B, Color - D, Trim - 5A, Date - 17A, DSO - 8A2661, Axle - 8, Trans - U.
