This right hand drive car was imported by BMW's official agent AFN Ltd, manufacturers of Frazer-Nash cars, and sold as a Frazer-Nash BMW 327/80 (also known as a 327/28).
The fixed head coupes are much rarer than the convertibles, and was the top of the range touring car sold by BMW.
This is the second of fourteen known FN/BMW 327/80 fixed head coupes made, and only 3 are now known in the UK.
Comprehensive history file shows 5 owners from 1951, and the first owner is also known.
Fitted with its original BMW engine block with a Bristol cylinder head, original 4 speed gearbox with synchromech on 3rd and 4th gear, this car is VSCC-eligible in the UK and acceptable for a huge variety of international competitions and rallies.
This car is running and on the road in the UK, with Mot and can be subject to any inspection. Largely original interior in very good condition, the dashboard has a very comprehensive set of instruments, some of which were non-standard original fitments. Currently missing its (UK fitted) rev counter.
There is an opening boot (original fitment; non-standard but very useful).
