VCL 825 was purchased new from St.Benedicts Garage Ltd in Norwich and the lady owner kept the Rover until at least 1970 when the vehicle had recorded 35,527 miles. We have the original BP Lubrication service records from 1963 to 1970 all stamped by the supplying dealer. An original MOT from 1968, stamped by St.Benedicts Garage is also with the history along with a Certificate of Insurance dated 28th June 1963.
This is a very original P4 Rover and we've known the car since 2005. We have sold the car to the last two owners, both regular customers who have enjoyed the car. The Rover has proved totally reliable and has performed faultlessly in all the years we have known it. The car has some nice original features such as the original tool kit, original registration mark and original handbook.
Our P4 presents very well with lovely deep black paintwork and a straight, sound body. The bodywork is very sharp with good wheel arches and no corrosion problems surfacing. The engine bay and boot area are both tidy and presentable, the chrome work original looking but not in need of replacement. The carpets have been replaced and the rear seat is original and in lovely order. The front seat base is currently having some repair work and therefore the photograph of the front seat is from 2009.
The Rover is delightful on the road and is ideal for weekend use, shows, rallies, long distance touring or regular use.
