Bedford CF For Sale (1987)Here is my mean green machine a bedford CF 2litre petrol, panel van. Bought this last year for a summer van and couldn't bear to part with it so i've kept it until now. This is a brilliant van, soon to be a classic, 1987 which means it was one of the last bedfords ever built!!
i've put a simple bed in the back and spent the summer going round camping in it. I would like to take the bed out so if you want the bed you need to let me know. The pictures also show a sound system that I will be taking out of it (unless you want to buy it)
Its just been through the MOT 11 months left and its got 5 months tax left. Done 85000 miles and is a good drive, original interior which looks good
however this is an old van and does have a few problems,
to drive its no problem, I have driven this all over the country and I have never had a problem with it, always starts (may need a second to warm up) and is fun to drive
the amazing side door (on a hinge is amazing) doesn't lock, I have a new lock just haven't fitted it.
Passenger door doesn't unlock at the moment, haven't had time to look at it but sure I will fix it before you buy.
however if you wanted to get it to pristine condition you will need to do some work on the body as there is rust (not structural though) the MOT got an advisory on the footwells which are far from perfect and could do with a weld or two although they haven't got worse since I had the van and it hasn't bothered me. The picture of the foot wells doesn't show how bad they are as they do wobble. Engine is in good nick, had a mate do some work on it and we change a few parts, it could do with a new fan as a few on the wings have broken so we made some more.. but its working ok so I haven't changed it. The back is a bit scraty but fine for me,
Erh.. lots of things I could tell you about this van best bet to call me and ask me questions, if you want it come and have a look this is a future classic but does need some work to keep it in pristine condition
