Rare works left hand drive 405 For Sale (1956)This Bristol 405 is one of less than a handful of left hand drive 405's built by Bristol cars.
It is a remarkable rot free car having been dry stored for over 20 years.
having been robed of its original 100B2 engine gearbox and final drive it has been re engined with a 4.2 XK Jaguar engine with 4 speed overdrive gearbox.
The interior is original and is more than serviceable with only a small amount of minor repair and clean up of the leather.
It is a project that needs finishing though little is needed to get driving i.e. the back axle could be replaced with a V8 Bristol unit to handle the extra torque.
The Jaguar engine looks at home under the bonnet and will make a fantastic Touring car.
I am open to negotiation on furthering work on the car dependent on offered price.
