Land rover Series 2a rebuilt on Galvanised chassis For Sale (1965)
Here for sale is my land rover series 2a 1965 rebuilt on a galvanised chassis with all new parts by a land rover specialist in Bishop Aukland.
She is of course tax free and has a healthy mot till end of June.Only had one advisory on last mot which has recently been completed.
It has alsorecently had a brand new paint job inside and out in top quality nato green having all dents taken out so now as you can see in the pictures it is as straight as you get!
Bulkhead is perfect as is all the usual black spots.
Chassis is galvanised and appears as new and has just got a full set of new seats.Also has seat belts fitted.
The engine is a very sweet and economical 2.25 diesel which always starts with ease(New battery helps) and runs without fault and pulls away unusually well.Genuine parts have been used for many components and engine bay is remarkably clean.Also brakes must have been uprated as they nearly send you through the windscreen if your'e not wearing your seatbelt!
It drives as it should with a smooth gear change with no jumping out or crunching and no swaying all over the road,so great as an every day vehicle.
Underneath is also a credit to its owners but this is to be expected as all running gear was renewed when it recieved a new chassis a few years ago.It has only been used for the odd weekend and sat the rest of the time in a cosy garage and it really shows!
As you can see it has munroe shocks all round and front ball joints look new and unpitted.
Tyres are only 2 months old and only covered a few miles.Spare is also new.It has free wheeling hubs and 4 wheel drive operates without fault as does all electrics.
A very useful towbar is present with electrics and a spare plate is included in the sale.
So all in all a real gem of a landy that has had many thousands spent in recent years and now would be hard to find a better one.
