XLP 714 G was built on August 26th and despatched to SW19 Triumph dealer L.F. Dove Ltd. on November 6th 1968.
Possibly the best restored UK supplied TR5 Petrol Injection model on the market with just two recorded previous owners and two supporting restoration history files plus photographic album.
During restoration the following upgrade works were carried out; Bosch Fuel pump and filter, Rear Spax Suspension, Spin on Oil filter, 65 Amp Alternator, Leather seats, Chrome Wire Wheels and Aluminium Fuel Tank.
A Surrey hard top with both removable canvas centre section and alloy top is fitted. The engine has been upgraded / tuned to approx 175 bhp and a Triumph SAH stainless sytem exhaust system has been fitted. Period Michelin XAS tyres are fitted as per correct original spec.
The Heritage certificate on file reveals that this car left the factory in Signal Red with Black Ambla interior, chrome wire wheels, and gearbox which features overdrive on 2nd, 3rd + 4th gears.
This super rare (only 1012 produced) Right Hand Drive and correct example is a very fast, smooth and enjoyable 1960's classic Triumph sports car.
