2493HN is a very good example of a works rally style Austin Healey 3000 MKI
The car was rebuilt in 2005 and was upgraded; work completed included refurbished gearbox and overdrive with a Sebring straight cut gear set
The drive train is a 3.9 ratio with a limited slip differential and upgraded competition hub seals. The braking system is also upgraded including callipers and the suspension system upgraded to rally specification.
Under the bonnet the car is fitted twin SU carburettors and a Dennis Welch fast road / rally engine and head including DWR8 camshaft, alloy sump, supa damper, and Bosworth pistons.
Bodywork and finish of the car is very good with much detail by the Austin Healey restorer. A roll bar is fitted to the car.
FIVA papers were issued to the car in June 2005. The car is very tight and drives very well. The cockpit is laid out extremely well with all the controls at hand.
Suitable as a rally car or a fun fast road car finished by marque experts to the highest standard and a test drive is recommended.
