Re-sprayed Jet Black
Manufactured in 1972 put on the road in 1973. (TAX EXEMPTED)
Much sought after Manual box with O/D on 3rd and 4th.
Huge file of history and lots of receipts.
Present owner for 3 years during which time I have done the following:-
Fitted new quality black mk 2 Mohair hood from E.J.Ward.
Renewed all cooling hoses.
Fitted new wide vain radiator.
Fitted electronic ignition.
Fitted all new plugs and HT leads.
Renewed front brake pads.
Fitted new fuel pump.
Fitted new alternator.
Re-upholstered both front seats and replaced drivers back cover.
Fitted new soundproofing under bonnet.
Fitted new black carpets inside and new carpets for the whole boot area.
(The cabin carpets came with thick sound proofing pads as standard, nice job).
Interior woodwork is beautiful and the section around the gear lever seems to be a kind of walnut style.
I’v had much chrome work done and engine detailing by Ray Hodge who still does the proper triple style chroming for me!
He has re-chromed all bumpers front and back, all trim, carb elbows and carb tops, wiper motor cover, bonnet spring, bonnet stay, sound proofing securing bar, etc.
I’v fitted stainless engine cowling with the V8 emblem, and also the air cleaner box is also highly polished stainless steel, all looks stunning.
Exhaust seems to have stainless steel silences and the rest is I believe the normal type.
Big bore pipes fitted to the rear most section which sounds beautiful.
Tyres are all good.
The windscreen appears to be a new modern triplex, and Iv had a new windscreen surround rubber fitted.
Pleased to find the windscreen frame was amazing condition and no rust.
Fitted new windscreen wiper box driver’s side.
The engine was apparently rebuilt in or around 2006 but I have no recite for this as it was before I bought it.
It does sound really beautiful, sweet and very quiet for a stag!, no whining chains or hissing heads!
I have a recite for a replaced diff although the rest of the rear suspension seems original and has no problems.
Mot’d till September 1st 2012 also taxed till the 31st August 2012 but obviously its tax exempted anyway.
Drives beautifully and this is a very solid and well sorted stag, Never had any over heating as I automatically replaced the original radiator, hoses etc.
Fully reconditioned carb’s just fitted from Rimmer Brothers cost (£375.)
New alternator c/w electronic ignition and the correct coil from E.J.Wards also fitted.(£250)

If the potential buyer wishes to drive this car on a test drive, I will need to see that they have insurance to cover my car for the full asking price ie fully comprehensive.
I will also check this by phone prior to any test drive.
They will not be covered under my own insurance.
I am more than happy to drive them on a test ride.
I mention this as there have been 3 people interested in buying my stag recently from Italy, Germany, and Spain, and they all seem to think they are insured to test drive my car with their own insurance.
Sadly they are not, neither are they insured under my cover.
If the buyer offers the asking price I will only release the car to them once all the funds have been cleared into my account.
