Triumph Stag 3.0 V8 Auto in Sienna Brown SOLD (1975) | | |
| | I have known this Stag for 7 years.Purchased by my business partner and myself in 2005 from a chap in London who had owned and stored it since 1993,where it had retained its originality.
Once back in the workshop we checked the car through properly and found no shocks apart from no soft-top! We then recomissioned the engine and drove the car to our bodyshop,where it spent the next 5 years! When we eventually collected it we were amazed at the quality of the work that had been done.All 4 wheel-arches had been replaced but all original shutlines remained due to the nature of the repair panels.The Stag had been completely resprayed and it still looks as good as it did then.
We removed the engine and carried out a rebuild including new crankshaft and shells,timing chains, water pump etc.The gearbox was removed and an exchange unit from Rimmer Bros.fitted.The power steering rack and pump were renewed.It was then MOT'd and sold to the last owner.He continued to improve the car by having the soft-top frame repaired and a new hood fitted (it still has it's factory hardtop).Due to circumstance beyond his control he then had to dispose of the Stag which is why I now have it for sale again.I have just had the wheels refurbished and a new boot carpet fitted.12 month's MOT will be supplied to the new owner.
This Stag is in lovely condition all round.The interior is original and in excellent order,the bodywork shines and the engine still sounds great! I have lots of old history including the original " Passport to service book".
This is not the sort of car that has been hastily prepared for sale that will inevitably disappoint.Come and have a look - it's a great example.
