Chesil Porsche 356 Speedster with porsche parts For Sale (1961)
Porsche 356 Speedster replica by Chesil in excellent condition and ready for spring and summer. It comes with a dateless plate on a 1961 and based on a 1957 look.
The car has had just one previous owner from new and has covered just over 3000 miles. It comes with documentation from the original build and it has since had many upgrades to original specification with many Porsche 356 parts including badges, rear brakes, hood pull, engine lid, nardi steering wheel, porsche KPZ 4.5j wheels, SWF lights etc etc. £1200 has just been spent on CSP upgraded front disc brakes and it has spax suspension and independent rear suspension. The engine is a 1600 which was fully rebuilt for the car from new and it pulls well and has no leaks. Mechanically this car is excellent and behaves sharper than the original. It has just had its MOT and it went through first time with no advisories. It also comes with 12 months tax and is registered as a historic vehicle.
The bodywork was fully sprayed in Porsche metallic silver and it has a dark red interior with black trim and black hood. The bucket seats are as new and the carpets are also in very good condition. Much of the original speedster feel has been retained with the rubber mat covers over the centre tunnel and the drivers and passengers footwells. The car is running a GT Carrera look with polished centres without hubcaps, dechromed side trim and GT mirrors. Bumpers and hubcaps are included in the sale but not currently on the car.
You will not find a more reliable example and it hasn't been pieced together with old VW bits like some others. It has an insurance valuation for £18,750 and it is fantastic value as it costs next to nothing to run with insurance at £140 per year and 30mpg. Seriously fun motoring with a car that looks like over £140k for just 10 percent of the price. Very sorry to see it go, but it has not been driven much over the last few years and house renovations are calling unfortunately which is the reason for sale.
