ALVIS TA21 SOLD (1952) | | |
| | This wonderful car has only had 2 previous owners and that the last registered owner purchased this vehicle 22 years ago. There are MOTs dating back to 1990 confirming mileage of 24733 miles.
Alvis recommenced production after WW2 with a range considerably reduced from that available in 1939, there being only one model on offer: the TA14.
Looking much like its TA14 predecessor but featuring coil-sprung, independent front suspension and a new, overhead-valve, six-cylinder engine, the otherwise mechanically similar 3-Litre Alvis - type TA21 - was announced in 1950. Styled along classic, pre-war lines, the 3-Litre was reckoned by Autocar magazine to appeal to 'discerning owners who appreciate quality and good handling as well as mere performance.' Not that the TA21 was lacking in the latter, comfortable cruising at 70mph and maximum speed of better than 85mph being reported. This is a wonderful car both mechanically and visually and though not concourse certainly a very good car a collector or use on sunny days. £12750.00 .Please call Ciro for further information.
