SAAB 900 TURBO CONVERTIBLE 29,000 MILES FROM NEW For Sale (1987) | | |
| | http://www.saabflight.com | This is a genuine and totally original Saab 900 Turbo Convertible - unmolested and beautiful. The car has had 2 owners and has led a (literally) sheltered life. We have known, stored and maintained this car for the last 8 years on behalf of the owner who now needs to find a new owner for it.
It is the first 900 Convertible to have been supplied by Turners Hill Saab (near East Grinstead), and was sold by them to the second owner. This is an early production variant and is in timewarp condition. It is TOTALLY original in EVERY respect.
This car is for sale to a PROPER owner and should at the very least be garaged. It is quite possible that you will be vetted for suitability by the present owner. He IS a Saab Owners Club member, and therefore a bit odd - you HAVE been warned!!! (Sorry John!)
Being an early car - this one has the hand-brake on the front wheels. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but if it was MY car, I would convert it to the later spec 9000 type brakes with rear hand-brake. We can do this for a new owner. and keep the original parts which could be re-fitted for the purists amongst us at any time. Talking of purists and you Saab Owners Club members - can any of you spot the difference between this early model and the slightly later 1987 cars?? Tell me if you know
We will consider any reasonable part-exchange. This car will be sold with a new mot,a TOTAL full service, 4 new tyres (originals beginning to crack) and a personal warranty from ourselves. We will also heavily Waxoyl the entire under-side and ALL internal panels as we do to every 900 we sell. The registration number is NOT included in the sale - the car will be sold with the original number plates.
