| | This Famous 1927 Gordon England Cup featured in Martyns Eyres book A7 Competition cars 1922-1982 & A7 By Chris Harvey .this Car appears to have been supplied New By L Elvidge Winheap Garage Canterbury according to the plaque on the bodywork.
It has had three owners in last 30 years. The car has been prepared for vscc trailing & touring,
This included Specially built engine with Phoenix 3 bearing crank,aluminium Ricardo head ,Renault con rods & pistons, SU Carb & manifold +electric fan,fuel pump,& external oil filter,
Rewired,Mag to coil conversion ,Bosch 009 with Petronix electronic ignition,
New tailored hood ,hood bag, tonneau cover & Carpets .
Very High standard Re sprayed cycle wings and re chromed front radiator surround. New 6 volt battery, rear axle just been rebuilt.
Nice features are: leather gaiters to front and rear springs, and cute auxilliary petrol tank mounted on front wing. On the body are plaques from both Gordon England & Wincheap garage.
Included with car is a complete set of A7 spanners, hub puller, tyre pump & jack.
The original engine & old green log book from 1971 are also included in the sale.
This car drives beautifully & is certainly for the enthusiastic who will appreciate its performance handling & turn of speed.Just been serviced.
