Jaguar E Type 4.2 FHC Manual Fixed Head Coupe For Sale (1969)
This is a 1969 Jaguar E Type Series 11 Coupe 4.2 FHC Fixed Head Coupe - it is not the cheaper and to be honest not so pretty 2 + 2 model. A car that is regularly voted the most beautful in the world
Showing one owner from new on the log book.
This 4.2 Coupe has only covered 998 miles in the past 9 years - and is only showing 50995 miles, we have some previous mot's too, Although the purist may prefer the much more expensive Series 1 but the Series 11 models had some significant improvement changes - exposed headlamps, collapsible steering column, safety dashboard "rocker" switches, and most important a user-friendly 4 synchro gearbox plus much improved brakes which make it a more pleasant driver's car. The car drives fantastically, holds the road well and no groans or grinds! and the engine sounds superb with no rattles or misfires, it fires up instantly and has great oil pressure.
She was MOT'd this week with NO advisories and is free road tax!
The Car was the subject of a major restoration in 1998-2003 with a speedo reading of 49994 miles. The body condition of this E Type is in excellent order with perfect shut lines and is structurally very sound with no rust - the chrome work is good with some minor tarnishing on the rear bumper - the beautiful chrome wire wheels and tyres are in very good order. She is a very pretty car and is in not concourse but A1 condition
The exterior is in the most sought after Regency Red with the factory fitted full length webasto sunroof and the interior is finished in tan leather - the seats are nice and supple with no rips, tears or split seams. The dashboard and other vinyl covered items are in good condition - even the head lining is sag free. also a 8 track stereo with original Elvis 8 tracks included! The wire wheels are in excellent condition and with nearly new tyres. and the carpets are in wonderful condition.
The underneath is still showing the original underseal and with no rust!
With some minor improvements this car could become a show model - it has a current insurance valuation of £40,000 and it is certain to continue to go up in value as investors are purchasing these cars as a better return on their money than in the bank - definately an investment for the future.
