Here we have a 1969 Jaguar 420 Saloon which has been with previous owner over 25 years!!
Only 3 previous owners and 2 of which were in the same family!!
This vehicle was acquired from a true jaguar enthusiast from his private collection in the New Forest area. He was also the founder of the Jaguar Owners club in the New Forest Region so you know it has come from a caring home.
Brand New 12 Months MOT & 12 Months TAX (Historic Vehicle – Tax Free)
It has a very Comprehensive Service history with over £4,000 pounds spent in the last 10 years alone!!
MOT certificates dating back to 1989.
It has had new Sills both sides O/S & N/S Outer, Middle and Inner Sills, New jacking points replaced and repaired to a very high standard
It had 2 new Fuel tanks fitted at a cost of nearly £500, 2 New tyres and 2 very good tyres.
Negatives Points
The paint work on the car is not great and is very flat, this does not show up as much in the photo’s
It has some rust on the passenger front and rear door (looks far worst than it is)
The Chrome on the car is decent but not brilliant
The interior is Very good with everything working as it should , I recently had the Carburettor’s stripped down, cleaned and reset. It runs very smooth and ticks over beautifully.
It has also had a brake overhaul with the pads and disc’s changed within in the last year and Brake reservoirs flushed and filled with new fluid last week.
The Car is very Original and still has Original Tool Kit and Spare tyre.
Overall The car is in good useable condition and mechanically very sound, It is over 40 years old so there are the odd mark here and there as expected with a vehicle of this age, It has been Garaged all of its life and serviced Regularly, She has many years left in her but could do with a bit of TLC to bring her back to her best.
These Jaguars are very rare and are finally getting the recognition they deserve, They will only appreciate in value now, These jaguars with excellent paint work sell somewhere between 8- 12k!!
