Norton Motorcycle 1938 Model 50
350 cc OHV Registration number DFD 921
Suppliers place attached to rear mudguard showing she was supplied by Cope's of Dudley, hence the DFD number.
Owned by the family for 35 years. Fully restored almost 30 years ago and hardly ever used apart from taking to shows. Only done 479 miles in that time. Original engine and cylinder block.
It was used on a film called "Over Here" a period set production starring Martin Clunes and used as the leading role players main mode of transport when he was not in his Spitfire! Starts and runs fine. In generally excellent condition with a slight oil film on whole bike due to dry storage over the winter period. Some signs of the chrome peeling on various nuts and bolts but nothing than cannot be easily replaced. Decent tyres. New style V5 registration document. A fast appreciating pre-war quality motorcycle which is most usable on the road.
