| MG VA “Tickford” Drop Head Coupe. First registered in London 1937. Stored, unused for many years and known to the MG club and SVW register over a long period, this magnificent car has been the subject of a recently completed, no expense spared, three-year ground-up restoration, during which everything has either been replaced or refurbished; since when it has covered only 700 miles. Carried out by Peter Ratcliffe of SVW Spares, recognized marque specialist, the rebuild included enlargement of the original engine from 1500cc to 1710cc (a modification carried out to some ex-works cars) and a higher ratio rear axle which together provide a more relaxed open-road cruising speed. An elegant, desirable and very rare car in virtually as new condition. To buy and restore such a car to this standard would cost very much more than the asking price.
