Fully Restored Austin Mini 998 City E Auto For Sale (1984)
Fully restored, stunning Austin Mini 998 Auto 1984. Very reluctant sale of my lovely car. 11 months MOT and 5 months Tax. 29700 genuine miles from new with old MOT’s as proof. We have spent many thousands of pounds on his restoration with pretty much everything brand new. New shocks all round, all new brakes including drums, new suspension cones and bushes. His engine has been totally serviced and painted with new chrome rocker cover. Speedo cable replaced, new heater. Floor and wing panels including skuttle have been replaced.
He has been resprayed and all the chrome work on the outside has been replaced including front grille, door handles, wipers and washer jets, number plate housing, petrol cap. There are new chrome window seals and a new roof edging in chrome. Two new Lucas spots on the front that are wired into its own switch.
He has new alloy wheels and tyres all round and a new exhaust system. The car has been kept under cover and in a garage since restoration and only driven on sunny days so he hasn’t even got wet.
The interior is custom designed with a custom dashboard and centre console all matching with a new CD player. There is now a speaker board under the rear seats with 2 new speakers. We also put in a set of MPI mini half leather black and red seats and there is a new red carpet with black and red floor mats. The only thing we didn’t get around to changing was the roof lining. Union Jack on the roof which is very in keeping with the Jubilee and Olympics.
The engine runs beautifully sweet and just purs in tick over. The auto gear box is perfect and changes up and down as it should. We have cruised along a 70 mph on the motorway and he never misses a beat. There is even a full to the brim tank of petrol.
We restored him to how I wanted him as I had no intention of ever selling him, unfortunately I now have to replace my horse, which is my first great passion and I need to sell “Dudley” to make this happen.
