| | http://www.vintageandclassiccars.co.uk | Austin sold a 5 year license to build their 7's in Germany. These cars were called the "Dixi", in 1928 BMW took over the company to get a foot in the door for car manufacture, the cars were then known as the BMW Dixi.
This car was built in 1928 just before BMW took over.
This car was re-bodied in 1933 by BMW coach builders with the very pretty 2-seat sports body used on the BMW 303.
Correct chassis and engine number.
Left-hand drive.
Austin 7 chassis, built under license.
Austin 7 engine, built under license, but back to front!
Correct Dixi wheels, 19 inch.
Total restoration, 65,000 euros spent!
