1993 Jaguar Sovereign 4.0 (Only 52,000 Miles) For Sale
1993 Jaguar Sovereign 4.0 The long anticipated ‘XJ40’certainly divided opinion when it was launched in 1986: It was welcomed as revolutionary by some customers, but considered to be a bit too futuristic by others- still, it was destined to be Jaguar’s best selling model at the time. When the range was revised in 1989, the more traditional designs were re introduced to the interior and its power unit offered greater refinement as a 4 litre. Twenty six years on, most examples of this commercially successful model have disappeared, and the survivors now enjoy an increasing ‘retro appeal’ along with many other ‘Eighties Classics’. As the latest and highest specification, this example offers the winning combination and its condition is hard to fault. Cherished by one owner for pleasure use over the past eleven years, the mileage is 52,000 since new supported by a stamped service book and impressive history file. There is undoubted concours potential with this Sovereign, and it would provide an ideal introduction to Jaguar enthusiast motoring. Very impressive looking in Regency Red with Doeskin Hide.
