The Greyhound was produced in limited numbers with several engine options ,this one has the desirable Bristol 2litre straight 6 with 4 speed Bristol gearbox .
The car has been in present ownership since 1969 having been delivered to the first owner in Dublin in 1961.
Various work was carried out in the seventies including a full cylinder head overhaul by Bristol Cars ,clutch and brake repairs and rebuild of the triple Solex carbs.
By 1976 the car required other work and was examined by AC Cars in Thames-Ditton but the cost of rebuild was prohibitive and so it was decommissioned in 1977.
The car was eventually stripped , engine and gearbox removed , interior stored and prepared for painting. Fastforward to 2002 and the rebuild gets back on track.
In 2004 the engine fires up and the car has been repainted in light cream which contrasts well with the red leather interior. The original bumpers were scrapped many years ago and twin tube ones fabricated in the Aceca style.
Fully roadworthy since then the Greyhound has covered about 2000 miles.
This is one of 83 cars built but is totally original and though not concours it is in excellent condition .
New perspex rear screen just fitted.
