English Slough built Citroen Light 12 R.H. Drive SOLD (1940) | | |
| | This rare and beautiful car underwent a major restoration in the early 1990's and has been used regularly by me ever since. During this this time the car has been driven to international Citroen events in Belgium and Switzerland.
New floor, sills and rear inner wings. Engine is now the larger capacity 1911cc version. Gearbox has been overhauled and fitted with a 10x31 higher ratio final drive. Driveshafts are modern CV joint type.
The interior was completely renewed at that time by Southbound Trimmers, using Connolly leather, quality carpets and wool headlining. Fitted heater, original rear window blind, front inertia-reel seatbelts, The walnut dashboard is the rare and unusual 3 piece version which was only used on the 1939/40 models.
Externally, the car sports the "Pilote" Michelin lightweight wheels. The bumpers are stainless steel. The original "Weathershields" sunshine roof is a feature generally found only on the English cars.
