Austin Healey Sprite Mk3 1098cc SOLD (1965) | | |
| | Totally restored 25 years ago including new body shell, used for several years on and off before being laid up in 2008 with 10,500 miles on the clock since the restoration. New parts fitted in the last 10 years are; Layshaft & laygear cluster, Petrol Tank, Soft Top, Stainless Exhaust, Front Brake Calipers & discs, Radiator Grill. A Brake servo has also been fitted. The engine is modified: Gas Flowed Head, Tufrided Crank (balanced by RR) & most other parts to Coopers S spec. A standard camshaft is fitted but have a 731 camshaft as well as many other second hand spares available.
Although the car is tidy and has been garaged since purchase the seats (corbeau GT) are tired & need reupholstering. The body works has a few areas of minor rust, small areas of paint lifting and chips (as shown in the photos). Many Mk3 parts have been changed for Mk 4 parts eg soft top, interior door panels.
Recently changed oil and oil filter and engine runs fine, all electrics are fully operational and battery is good.
There is no MOT on the car at present as it is sorn, but could easily be obtained if required when sold.
