Sadly I have to sell my lovely 1977 rubber bumper MGBGT 1800, as I now have great difficulty getting out of this very low car.
I have owned the car for three years and in that time done minor jobs to keep it in excellent condition. It has recently had a new starter motor, new universal joints, overhauled rear axle and differential. It passed an MoT in June first time with no faults and no advisories.
It has covered just 76,000 miles (believed genuine) and there are several old MoT certificates to verify the mileage. Taxed until November 2012. The car has always lived in a dry garage whilst I have owned it and looks like it has always been garaged due to the excellent rust-free condition of the flamenco red coloured bodywork.
The car has been fitted with aftermarket Lumenition electronic ignition to improve reliability. The gearbox is an original 4 speed with working overdrive. It is completely rust free and can be described as being in 2 plus condition, both in appearance and in the way it drives. Tyres, brakes, battery and exhaust are all in good condition. The cylinder head has not been converted to run on unleaded, but the car runs fine with additive. The black interior and black carpets are in very good condition and the front seats have been re-covered in lovely black leather. There is also a working radio cassette player for your entertainment!
It now needs to go to a new home where it will continue to be cherished.
