Bedford awd tl860 horse box camper full time For Sale (1991)the last of the bedford ---- tl 860 awd model..not 4x4
not used since last mot due to rider injury, drove well and every mile went better than the last.1990-1991 manufactured.
very pleasant power steering and being a more short wheel base and not too wide body it didnt shake rattle and roll like the larger units.
it is one of the last bedford. a company called AWD took over bedford to win the military contracts which went to DAF in holland.
this is fitted with the perkins phaser turbo diesel engine. non electronic and modern non smokey engine. the only bedford that does not start in a cloud of smoke.
the gearbox is a 5 speed manual and like all bedford is a truck gearbox. its certainly not a ford escort to change gear.
for last mot time a new starter and clutch where fitted same time..
all we have done so far is pressure wash the whole vehicle and removed all rubber matting to inspect everything.
we have also polished 2x outer panel to see if the paint can be saved, it can as is photos, but as some bodywork is required we might just as well paint the cab, thats the theory, we are too fussy for our own good really.
interior will be removed and cleaned before sale..usual horse box wear and tear and crisp packets and coke cans.
living is small and very usable..blank canvas but we would sleep in it straight away if we take it sidecar racing.
luton nice and big and more important the roof is a proper roof in alloy..not lorry skylight stuff.
rear tyres look recent, front tyres need changing in my opinion purely on age. normally used good tyre on rim is £45 each.
exhaust has hole in it and has already been removed and repaired.
horse area is very sound, nice and tall..unusual for such a petite box. not so wide so great for small roads and normal easy driving but bigger horse would go herringbone. 2x partitions at present, if you need any more you can have them free unfitted.
ramp nice and easy up or down, no frills, simple safe twin spring with very good hinge to box..important we feel.
double thick floor plus the worlds heaviest rubber matting making probably 4 inches of flooring..we always steam clean floor and let it dry before sealing the wood.
starts on the button..heater good..most bedfords dont work..
travels normal road speeds...lazy drive and not stressful.
mot end of november, nothing to stop it passing the next mot, a matter of checking lights wipers etc when its due.
located kings lynn norfolk pe34 area. we can deliver at cost after payment is made in full.
delivery simply cost of diesel --and its very good on diesel--and train ticket back.
we can tax vehicle at cost--tax is cheap car tax..

we take debit cards -credit cards plus 4+ and chq in post-good old cash or transfer.
storage here no problem at all.
