1983 LANCIA GAMMA COUPE 2500IE AUTO.
Just 2 recorded keepers & 49k miles.
For restoration, but with very sound bodywork.
Silver with the classic, dark blue L cloth interior.
It is,as can be seen a car for restoration.Sadly it is not complete, the main items missing being one headlight, the grill, the original carpets, radiator, roof lining, dash top surround and quite possibly a few smaller items. We have located the interior door trim panels,(not shown in pictures) and may be able to help locate some of the other items at no extra cost at a later date. However, other than the interior door panels, your interest must be based on the car as it stands now.
It may not quite be complete but it is a genuine 2 former recorded, keepers car. With what is believed to be a genuine 49k miles on the clock. It is also, importantly and surprisingly in very sound condition as far as the bodywork is concerned. The floorpan, sills, arches, doors, bootlid and wings are all in remarkably solid condition for an 80's Italian classic. It all also looks completely original, with no signs of previous welding repairs.
It hasn't completely escaped the rust but what is there is very fixable and shouldn't require many hours with the Mig.Some signs of blistering are showing around the front screen,(assume removal of screen to fix) and small areas just below the rear light units. After this I'm struggling to recall further areas of noticable concern, although that's not to say there may not be a few spots found when you get stuck in.
The car is fitted with a sunroof, this is currently removed but all parts appear to be with the car.
Overall a remarkably solid car and if you are in the middle of rebuilding a very rusty Gamma Coupe's bodywork,it could well be worth stopping and considering this as a possible path to saving a lot of time, effort and hassle!
