Sunbeam Talbot 90 MK 111 Convertible SOLD (1954) | | |
| | I have just taken on a contract that will take me out of the country for a number of months so I have decided to sell my Sunbeam Talbot Convertible. There are very few in good condition still in the U.K. most seem to have gone to America.
As you will see from the photographs the car is in exceptional condition which includes the body work, the seats, carpets and all the chrome work.
There is twelve months M.O.T. and twelve months (free) tax and my year's fully comprehensive insurance is currently less than £100
The gears on the car have been professionaly converted to a floor change which makes changing gear a positive experience, this is one of only a few models with overdrive on fourth gear. Ideal for motor way driving.
Opening oil pressure always 75.
There is a strong hood which does not leak.
Good tyres and a nice throaty exhaust add to the driving experience.
There is a file with plenty of history on the car including all the money spent on it over the years. Most of the mechanical parts have been replaced.
There is a full tool kit in the "secret" panel in the boot lid and an original car radio plus twin spotlights. There is also a set of chrome wheel trims included in the sale.
During 2009 the car was featured in "Classic Car Weekly" and has been the highlight at many rallies. She does have the "Wow" factor.I parked in the centre of Stratford upon Avon for only half an hour and came back to find all the tourists and some locals taking photographs of the car.
A comprehensive hand book, Workshop Manual and a Rootes Parts Catalogue is included in the sale plus a box of spares.
If you would like to view the car please call me (Mel) for a test drive you won't be disappointed.
