1974 Saab 95 V4 SOLD | | |
| | This very nice 1974 Saab 95 V4 7-seater was the subject of extensive refurbishment several years ago, including a respray in its original, iconic 1970s colour.
The car features a full length Webasto-style sunroof, which has been re-covered, and even boasts an original Saab roof rack which has been reconditioned with a silver powder-coated finish. The interior is very tidy and unmolested giving the car a lovely, original feel. The engine starts and runs well, the gearbox is good and the freewheel system functions perfectly.
A non-original 1960s front panel, radiator grille and lights were fitted when the bodywork refurbishment was carried, but the original 1970s items are all included with the car if you are a purist. Personally, I think the 1960s front is much prettier.
The car has had three previous owners and has covered 83,000 miles since its original purchase from Becketts of Eltham in September 1974. The car comes with quite an extensive service history from its early years, the first owner eventually appearing to have sold the car in the late 1980s.
The car has an MOT until February 2013 and has six months road tax included.
If you're a Saab fan or just fancy something a bit different, this is a great, very useable, little classic car. Now advertised at a new, reduced price.
