Hi, heres my 1987 mk2 fiesta, stunning car, bought this fiesta to run when i passed my test also inteneded to convert into an xr2. My quotes off the insurance didnt go down well even though its only an 1100, the cars an absolute minter but ive had no intension of touching it after my quote, ive advertised it on a few sites but all i seem to get is tire kickers wasting my time. before i tried to insure the car i ran it in for a quick MOT, it failed. ive got the fail sheet along with a folder full of history including the cars maintaince and past MOTS dating from years back, i went off the fail sheet and carried out all the repairs tht needed taking out, wiper blades, n/s ball joint, o/s strut leg bolts needed nipping up, abit of welding at the n/s/r arch which i had done by a professional body welder also the n/s/r brake was sticking which i free'd off. Thats all the car failed on but i missed the retest date cause i was in no rush once i found out it would be so dear to insure, the car also has no tax, i wouldnt recommend this car for a new driver without doing a quote first because you'll be stuck like i was.
