The car was believed to be an ex Ministry of Defence / airport car and as such was registered as a Q plate. However after a great deal of expense and research we have discovered that is a XXXX.
The car has been certified by motoring heritage trust and should be quite easy for new owner to get an age related number from DVLA – certificate supplied.
I cannot find any major rot anywhere on this little pick up.
Pick up back has checker plate and isn’t hiding anything as underneath is excellent with no advisory from last mot’s. As it was used for carrying objects about the checker plate is on for appearances.
Pick up sides have a few dings to be expected of a working commercial but perfectly acceptable and useable.
Tail gate is good
It has a very rare ladder rack attachment.
Sliding windows all work as they should and have new catches and sliders.
On the road it drives like a 1960’s pickup – with its uprated metro engine it’s a little more responsive and stops easily. – It really could do with some sound deadening in the cab.
The seats are far more comfortable than originals.
This is a great mini pick up that is easy to drive useful and a great investment that you can drive and use today.
If I was keeping it i would paint it in a prettier colour and thats it – or keep as is and use for shows and diy for a couple of years do normal mini stuff and still get yoru money when time comes for it to go
