Renault GTA Turbo 79k in RED SOLD (1990) | | |
| | Due an unexpected change in circumstances I am selling my pride and joy. No expense has been spared in keeping this car in outstanding original condition. I have every invoice for this car, a full service history, and can guarantee its 79k miles. Recently the car has been looked after by Renatec, Renault specialists in Bristol.
Prior to my ownership the car had a Eurosport stainless steel exhaust system, a new turbo at 55k, and a chip conversion. I have all the bills. It goes like a train! In recent months the car has had new ignition system (ignition unit and coil, alternator, plug leads), new brakes front and rear, drive shaft seals replaced, front tyres, and the front of the car was re-sprayed six months ago . The wheels are original and in pretty good condition and the rears are sporting 255 45 15 tyres which are extremely hard to come by. The interior is in original condition with no tears or blemishes. The roof lining is firmly in place. The Pioneer hi-fi now works (it appears to be original to this car), and it passed its MOT at the end of May. A TOAD category 2 immobiliser is fitted. The car has 6 months of tax on it.
The only things left to do to make this car perfect:
the drivers side front headlamp glass has a mark running across it. I’ve tried to show this in the photograph. It’s hard to get at as these are sealed units.
The boot interior plastic cover for the passenger side headlamp is missing.
The trip computer, whilst it measures MPG and average MPH, does not give a true reading of the fuel in the tank (this is a common fault). The answer is to set the odometer and fill up when you’ve driven 200 miles. The car is averaging 28 miles per gallon, which is not bad for a car capable of 150 miles an hour. Insurance, as it is a classic, is remarkably reasonable.
I will be devastated to say goodbye to this car. I welcome any inspection, and she can be viewed in North Somerset or the Midlands. I will not sell this for silly money, as they are rarer and rarer these days and this must be one of the best around. Please email me any questions.
