EX Works 1800 Landcrab SOLD (1968) | | |
| | Ex-Works Morris 1800 Landcrab. Competed in the 1968 London to Sydney finishing 36th overall. Also the 1970 World cup (London to Mexico) but returned home after an accident in Yugoslavia.
MTB 150G was purchased by Martin Jubb 15years later and in 1988 Le mans driver Dave Preece became the third owner.
Purchased by myself from Parkside Motor Company in 2002. She was little tired and I replaced many of the running parts and the engine was rebuilt to as near original specification with the information available at the time. Ann and I campaigned the car over the next few years culminating in the outright win on the 2004 Winter Challenge to Monte Carlo.
We have comprehensive files on the car, build sheets, fitting sheets, Door number, Daily Mail magazine featuring the car on the cover, DVD (copy of early film) of MTB 150G believed to be driving through part of India.
We have many of the original parts that are not currently fitted to the car (see photo).
This is a very original car. It has never been restored but maintained regardless of cost or time. I have owned other rally cars but this beat the lot .It has a current MOT and starts on the button.
