Following hospital investigation ,this sadly has to be my last restoration .I had a final hospital test,on the 1st November.I am now waiting for a date to go into hospital to have a major heart operation I would like to have this car sold,before this takes place I have therefore reduced the price ,which now makes it a very good investment.My wife will have to do the driving for the next few months and I would like to be able to park her car in our garage with winter coming. It is a 1968 P5B Coupe,which has been stored since 1988. with a mileage of 43000,which I was assured is genuine .The condition of the engine also points to the mileage being correct Only 3 previous owners ..The compression on each cylinder is between 147lbs and 153 lbs adding proof to the low mileage.I tried for 2 years to get the previous owner to sell it,as he had plans to restore it as well.I finally convinced him to part with it .I bought the car in April 2011 and have spent 16 months restoring it .There was very little body work to do on the car,a new nearside sill, front and rear valances and two small patches welding in. It has had a bare metal respray, new carpets, restored seats, wood work stripped and re-laquered, rechromed front bumper , the rear rechromed bumper is now fitted, along with rechromed overiders ,and boot light surround.The remainder of the brightwork is very good. ..Complete new braking system inc. new copper pipes,flexi pipes, servo, master cyl, recon calipers and slave cyl.,most lights replaced ,electric fuel pump new radiator, new water, pump 4 brand new tyres, spare excellent.The front and rear screen rubbers though watertight would look better,if replaced,unfortunately I am not in a position now to do anymore work on the car.However I can supply them . MOT and tax(free)until August 2013 Ihave received more information from the hospital and therefore I am now open to offers .TRY AN OFFER,UNFORTUNATELY,I AM IN A POSITION WHERE I NEED THE CAR SOLD .I have now had the final tests at the hospital and am waiting for a date to go in .The car is not concours,but is a very presentable solid car,which should give a new owner years of enjoyment.
