| This is a beautiful period saloon which had a limited production run of only 18 months,so now makes for a very rare car on the collecter car circut/market today.
This Austin appears to be extremly original with no signs of major replating anywhere and the bodywork is in excellent condition. Sometime over the last few years this Austin has been treated to a new set of replacement carpets but other than that she seems extremly original with her beautiful red hide seating which guarantees that lovely nostalgic old car smell as you open the doors.All the chrome work is in excellent fettle.
The mileage is showing a little under 50,000 which we feel is almost certainly to be correct given the condition of this car. the 4-speed column change is smooth and easy to use. A tow ball was fitted a couple of years ago but never used.
A new quality set of radial tyres have been fitted and there is a good history file of regular maintenance
A period sunvisor,drivers search lamp and extra driving lamps complete the look of this charming and rare british motor car from the 1950s.The original factory handbook is present.
The car is M.O.T'd until the 6th July 2013 and of coarse tax exempt. Due to new legislation this is the last M.O.T this 1950s saloon will need.
