We are selling our beautiful Sunbeam Rapier, finished in gunmetal grey with red hardtop the car has been thoroughly serviced and has had a new carburetter, stainless steel exhaust and comes with a spare dashboard, exhaust manifold, speedometer and spare cable. New wheel covers have been fitted at the time of purchase. The story goes that around 8 years ago, a garage proprietor in East London was offered the car to get rid of. It needed new floors, new sills and wheel arches but the new owner recognised that it was mechanically strong with the bonus of a very original interior. He took pity on the car and over the next 12 months rebuilt it with all new metal. The interior was lightly refurbished and the car resprayed. It then sat within the owners personal collection until last year when a dealer acquired it and we then purchased the car. The photos speak for themselves. The car is on the road and ready to be enjoyed . Whilst the car presents extremely well, there are one or two minor paint blemishes and the chrome- work is original and as such a little pitted. On the road the car is a revelation! Plenty of power mated to an ultra- smooth 4-speed gearbox encourages spirited driving, predictable handling and good brakes add to the sporting appeal. This relatively rare sporting saloon is perfect for show or historic rallying.
