Series III SWB Land Rover Galvanised Chassis 1983 For Sale
Fine example of a late Series III Land Rover. Registered October 1983 - 95,000 miles - MOT until May 2013 - Freewheeling hubs - Weber carburettor - Immaculate dashboard (all dials work)
This landy has been carefully owned and has been with us since March 2011. In this time we have spent over £6000 to get it in tip top shape with many large jobs as follows: - Rebuilt on galvanised chassis in May 2012 - Chassis treated with Dinetrol - Replacement new head gasket fitted in March 2012 - Full annual service in March 2012 and April 2011 - Fuel tank cleaned and treated - New copper brake pipes, wheel cylinders and exhaust.
The landy is still it's original colour which is unusual these days and has the deluxe interior which includes headlining, interior door panels and deluxe seats. The dashboard is immaculate.
We have MOT certificates dating back to 2010 and parts/servicing receipts back to 2005. Prior to this we don't have any information apart from a couple of photos passed down but we had been told by the person we purchased it from that this landy was on a country estate for a number of years up in Warwickshire.
We have the original complete set of keys (driver door, passenger door, back door and padlock on fuel cap) plus two sets of copies.
This has ultimately been a family car for us and very practical. We have shown it at local classic/country car shows and have just enjoyed driving it around as a family in sunshine, rain or heavy snow!
