Citroen DS ID Safari For Sale (1969) | | |
| | Click here for more info / photos | The Citroen DS was in production from 1955 to 1975 and Citroen sold almost 1.5 million D-Series cars during the 20 year production run. The DS model was known for its aerodynamic futuristic body design and innovative technology including hydro pneumatic self levelling suspension. The DS model is known for exceptional ride quality, handling and braking and our example does not disappoint. The DS model has been widely recognised as one of the World’s most influential auto designs and can boast third place in the 1999 Car of the Century competition and has also been named the most beautiful car of all time by Classic & Sportscar magazine.
This superb driving, smartly presented Citroen DS Safari 7 seater station wagon(known as Break on the Continent) has been owned by a friend of ours in Italy in the for the past few years. The car is an original UK RHD example that has been registered in Italy for a number of years. We will be selling the car with a full 12 months MOT and re-registering the Citroen in the UK. The registration plates are for display purposes only and do not come with the car.
The Citroen has a very straight, clean body with nicely aged paintwork. The Safari is ideal for regular use and appears to be a very original car. This model is ideal for family use and with ample space and roof rack, the car is fantastic for long distance touring. The Citroen is delightful to drive with exceptional handling and braking, a strong powerful engine and smooth gear change.
