This car is a very reliable; it has never failed to start or ever broken down in my ownership or the previous owner. We took her to France on holiday last year and averaged 28mpg.
The only reason for selling is lack of use, I would rather she was used on a regular basis by someone with more time than I can afford. I looked at many TVRs over a period of 2 years before purchasing this car, so expect to see a very clean and well looked after car and not the a car that has been abused or mistreated. The engines are well proven and when treated with respect will service the owner well and for many miles. With just 40,000 miles this car is a very collectable future classic, which is not likely to go down in value and most probably will increase even more than it has in the past 2 years. With so many TVRs being upgraded and used on track days etc. it is becoming rare to find a car which has not been tuned for performance. This car has only the most basic changes carried out, with drilled discs and adjustable springs and dampers to keep the ride and braking up to the same standard as the rest of the car. Being one of the last Griffiths produced (2000), TVR had ironed out a lot of the rattles and rawness of the earlier cars making this car a pleasure to drive both on short runs and long continental drives. The car has the original exhaust with the CATs still in so the sound is audible but not intrusive. I feel sure the new owner will be proud to take this Griffith out and enjoy driving for the sake of driving a pleasure sadly lost in most sports cars of today.
