TOYOTA AE86 - MASSIVE SPEC - HIGH QUALITY BUILD For Sale (1986)
It is with heavy heart I am listing my AE86 for sale.
A new baby means I wont have the time on a weekend to repair it and use it for what it was built for.
I had this car imported from Japan in 2006 and I am the one and only UK owner - V5 proves this.
Many hundreds of man hours and thousands upon thousands of pounds have been invested into this car.
It is NOT a rust riddled bodged recent import that tends to blight the market place for these - I even have the Japanese service history file with it
Pockets and sills are 100% and the first day the car was released by customs it went straight on the ramp to be waxoiled within an inch of its life
Never driven on a gritted road - pics of the underneath of the car in the photobucket album show the condition
The car has been garaged at my house and went into dry storage 3 years ago when it was SORN'd - NO MOT
The build was carried out over a 3 year period by myself and Dean at GEO-PREP Race and Rally near Birmingham. Dean has built and run some of the best spec tarmac rally cars in the country - John Copes WRC Impreza and Martin Healers WRC Escort to name two. The standard of his work is exceptional.

The car has zero competition miles on it and approximately 80 miles at a trackday at Colerne where it ran faultlessly.
Sadly the next run out in the car I forgot to put the bonnet pins in place and the bonnet came up - damage to the roof and door tops and screen which has now been skipped as has the bonnet.
I have a 2nd hand bonnet in the garage at home that will go with the car but needs ancillaries painting and fitting.
Roof and door tops need a skim with filler and painting and a screen would need to be sourced and fitted along with odds and sods to fit it.
Car is HPi clear and I can provide a certificate to prove
Car is in storage near Junction 4 of the M5 - will need notice to meet you there. Not too awkward for buyers from Ireland either.
Serious offers considered, we all know what these are worth - this is no cheap rusty bodge-for-a-quick-sale car, it needs maybe a grand spent and it'll be perfect again
This has potential to be a stunning car again - an absolute hoot to drive and could make a serious competetive drift or competition car
No timewasters or lowball offers - I'd like to sell it but I dont need to sell it
