Rare Rolls Royce Sports Saloon 1 of 8 by Hooper For Sale (1935)
This is a very beautiful car with a comprehensive history file. It is a coach built aluminium body with the original build plans. Not only is this car built by the world renowned "Hooper" but it is said to be the best looking car they produced. In the late sixties it started a new life in California. It then returned to England and Jersey. I have copies of the USA and Jersey vehicle registration documents.
The vehicle exchanged hands in the New Forest Hampshire in 1989 for £24500.
The interior is in extremely good condition.
All the panels and the shut lines are very good. The chassis is strong and there is no rust or sagging. It is an older restoration with a nice patina. The mechanical parts are like a Swiss watch and all just as they were when the chassis left the Rolls Royce factory to be fitted out by Hooper. It does have an electrical petrol pump rather than the AutoVac. It has matching numbers. All of the chassis lubrication system is just as it should be. I have today 04/10/2012 had a routine winterising check of the head and cooling system by an engineer and it has passed with a clean bill of health (bill to prove). There is no cracked head or gas leaks in this engine.
The MOT was renewed in May 12. The tyres are all as new.
