MERCEDES BENZ 280SL PAGODA CONCOURSE CONDITION For Sale (1969) | | |
| 280 SL Pagoda Automatic 1969H 73,000 miles, silver grey metallic, black M-B tex, black soft top, factory hard top, sourced by ourselves just over 2 years ago for a client of ours whos request was simple "find the best Pagoda we could". After fruitless searches which led us many places, including the M-B Museum we came across this superlative example. It was restored by a leading Pagoda expert using a good car as a starting point with an 'open cheque book'. The original service history booklet is present, along with many old MOT certificates substantiating the genuine mileage which has just turned 73,000. Supplied new to Jersey and always serviced by Main Dealer Jacksons Garage Ltd until it came over to the UK in the 80's since which time it has only had 2 previous owners. The car drives superbly and last year was given a thorough going over by Roger Edwards Motors at a cost of circa £2,700. An original Blaupunkt Frakfurt is still fitted which has beenoverhauled and fitted with an iPod connection/charging lead, a better example would be extremely difficult to source, featured in February 2012 issue of 'Classic Cars' magazine and described as "the straightest, most factory correct SL we have encountered" as clean underneath as it is on top following a nut & bolt restoration! £POA
