This car sailed through it's MOT today with no work needed just a couple of advisories.
This is a lovely MR2 that we travelled around 400 miles to buy. We were VERY fussy about it and looked at around 30 before we bought this one. FULL Toyota Service History and DVD player. It is the GT version (as you can see from the spoiler) and is therefore quicker than the standard MR2.
Being the T-Bar version the glass roof comes out in 2 parts and fits behind the seats. This car is lovely in the sunshine with the roof out and the windows down,
proper driving, blustry, noisy and loads and loads of fun on the motorway.
It has a factory fitted Toyota alarm and also and immobiliser. This car has had RECENT CAMBELT CHANGE.The clutch was replaced less than a year ago. Taxed til end of June.
It has a DVD player fitted, electric windows and electric mirrors. It is a nice looking car with black leather seats. It also has an electic ariel. New brake pads just fitted.
In the past couple of months it has had a brand new (not recon) alternator fitted to it (cost £400!) and also had the rocker cover gasket fitted which is not cheap, nor easy to have done. This is a UK model not an import (which are harder and more expensive to insure and also usually have less rust proofing).
This car is fast, looks good and drives fine. Please bear in mind that it is not a new car. The wheels could do with a polish, we were going to replace them with new, bigger wheels but haven't found any we like yet.
There is a small rust scab on the bottom of the drivers door and ideally the door could do with replacing at some point in the future.Just though it was only honest to mention it (see photo).
Apart from that, it is a VERY nice looking car (just look at the photo). No boy racer mods at all, NO Silly exhausts, airfilters etc. Please be aware that these cars are now often owned by boy racers and thrashed silly and abused but NOT this one. There is NO evidence this has been anything other than a cherished car. There are loads of receipts.I can be found on the MR2 owners club website.
This can be insured on classic insurance fully comp for around £200!
Legenary Japanese engineering and reliability, this engine and gearbox will probably run forever!!
